What would you consider to be your 15 minutes of fame so far in life?

In the 1990s I wrote an article that was published in a nonfiction book from a small feminist press, that got a few press clippings from papers that review that kind of thing.  One of the clippings even namechecked me.

I like to think that, in the time of the Internet, the more accurate quote is "everyone will be famous to 15 people."  And I've acheived that to one degree or another in various communities I participate in.

I think they're on a par with fortune cookies - entertaining, but meaningless.  If you really believe in them, please introduce yourself to a little thing called science and rationality.

What are 5 things you'd like to accomplish in the next 5 years?

1. Complete all 3 classes in PCNW's Black & White series.
2. Travel around England and Scotland.
3. Pay off credit card debt.
4. Move to Portland, OR.
5. Date someone seriously who would be a good fit with me as a potential long-term partner.
6. [bonus point] Figure out what I want my next career to be.
